More drabbles! =D
Apr. 2nd, 2008 07:50 pmAnother drabble. High school AU. Naruto has been persuaded (almost blackmailed) to end his rather new relationship with Hinata.
Hinata didn't know where to go, she turned all around and saw the two swings. Now, she didn't care- she needed a place to sit quietly and think. She walked over to the pair and sat down on the seat she slightly swung. She held her hands hid on the two chains and looked down, gazing at the dirt.
'Why would he say that... I thought he was actually happy being with me, what made him act so strange recently and then yesterday...'
"Hinata... I just think we should not be together... I think there's someone better for you."
"W-what? Naruto-kun, why?"
"I'm sorry, Hinata."
'Maybe he didn't love me, or didn't even like me. Maybe he just felt sympathy with me...' Hinata closed her eyes, feeling like she was going to cry again. She gave a small sob as her shoulders went up.
"What are you doing here?" Hinata jumped from her seat she she looked over next to her.
"N-Nekoba-san!" She shuttered out. She didn't know where Neokba Kouhei came from, but she knew he was very quiet. She knew he also was very close to Nomi, her good friend. Whenever she and Nomi were somewhere out of classes, Kouhei was also with him. Hinata liked how he was usually quiet, but his sneaking ways of entering and leaving a room so quiet always made her jump.
"Call me Kou-chan. I liked Nomi's idea of calling me that."
"Kou-chan...?" Hinata mumbled, looking at him confused.
"What are you doing here anyway?" Kouhei asked as he absentmindedly started swinging a little.
"I wanted to be alone..." Hinata murmured as she looked back forward.
"You don't seem to be too happy. Nomi and I are going to Ono Park, would you like to come?" He stopped swinging as he looked at her. He held out his hand to her. Her eyes widened as he saw his gentle gesture to her.
"S-sure." She gave a small smile. She took out her hand as she put it in his. "But not now, right?" She said innocently.
"Nah, this weekend." Kouhei and her both pullled away and went back to staring to the front.
"What about Nomi?" She asked, curious.
"Right now she is getting some stuff of hers, and told me to meet her out here, so she's coming." He explained, and went back to swinging. Hinata looked at him for a moment and looked back to her front, and swung a little.
'Nomi was right... He does act childish, but in a good way.'

Sakura had to go get her stuff for homework, or else she'd be in trouble the next day. She decided it would be faster if she passed through outside when she noticed two figures. She knew it wasn't exactly her business, but one figure made her look to see further.
'What is Hinata doing with that Nekoba boy...? Isn't he and Nomi both together or close?' She hid behind the closest tree towards them as she strained to hear their conversation.
"-would you like to come?" Nekoba asked. She peered from behind the bark when she saw his hand out to Hinata. She silently gasped, as she stared on. She thought Hinata would reject whatever invitation he made to her because she knew Hinata and Naruto were together.
"S-sure." She covered her mouth in shock, feeling like someone slapped her. "But not now, right?" She asked.
"Nah, this weekend." Nekoba looked so nonchalant as she always saw him, although she never him so many times. She never knew Hinata would do such a thing to Naruto- she had to go tell him right now. She quietly backed away from the scene and when she knew she was out of sight and earshot, she rushed back inside. She hurried to their classroom. She stopped at the door, and saw both Naruto and Kiba sitting at some desks. They turned to see the huffing Sakura at the door.
"Sakura-chan, what are you doing?" Naruto asked, curious.
"N-Naruto... Come look at this, it's Hinata!" She said, signaling them to follow. Both had a shocked face, and reluctantly followed her. She headed to a classroom that faced where the swing set was and rushed to the window as she pointed below. Naruto and Kiba stopped beside her as they followed where she pointed at. They both were surprised and shocked when they realized right away Hinata was on a swing, it wasn't her, but seeing a strange boy swinging right beside her.
"Who is that?" Naruto asked confused.
"Baka! That's Kouhei Nekoba!" Sakura insulted him.
"Nekoba, that boy from the other class? From what I saw of him, he's together with Nomi but why is he with Hinata? Naruto, are you going to let this go without asking for an explanation?" Kiba asked, turning to Naruto. Naruto looked down, staying silent. Sakura also looked at him.
"Naruto?"
"Actually... I broke up with Hinata." She whispered, not like himself at all. Sakura's mouth was open in shock, but Kiba glared at Naruto.
"So it was you that made her so upset these past few days! Why?"
"I..." Now, he couldn't bear talking. Sakura saw something out the window, and turned back.
"They're leaving." She said. They looked back, and it was true. Kouhei had jumped off the swing, and gestured Hinata to follow him. She stood up from the swing. He grabbed her hand and started running to the door. Hinata almost fell from him suddenly running, but he kept her up. She soon made a steady pace behind him so she wasn't getting dragged.
"Where are they going?" Kiba asked.
"I'm not sure... but he had asked her if she wanted to go to a park this weekend." Sakura, said remembering the small bit she had heard.
"And...?" Kiba asked, almost afraid of the answer.
"...She said yes." Sakura said. Naruto kept his eye on Hinata as she ran out of view from the window they stood at.
"Hinata."

I can't remember how I got this idea, I think I was just listening to Michi and thought this up. I even thought of an ending, but I couldn't put it all up. I have to do homework now!
