How many times do I have to tell myself

tamabonotchiIs it just me, or is LJ seeming...slower?
I was feeling pretty depressed since everywhere I look there's news about updates from Japan. I check out the lists of celebrities confirmed safe and missing, and it was slightly frightening to find Namikawa Daisuke hadn't made a message since the earthquake. I heard someone say he posted on his blog, though, so I'm relieved. I think it would be better if I don't look at the lists, and wait for any confirmed news if someone famous had died. Then there was the hoax that spread on Twitter that the creator of Pokemon had died. Someone even posted it on Facebook, which made me upset.
I spent time back and forth on 4Chan and Twitter about it before finally stopping.
To take my mind off it, I watched some Gundam. Almost finished with Gundam Zeta. I do wish it had a fandom, but how can you have a fandom for a series that came out in the 80's and didn't really come out in the US at all? Well, /m/ could count as a fandom but all you do there is argue how amazing Zeta was and ZZ wasn't canon. What. I am enjoying Gundam Zeta, but to like it so much, I declare ZZ not canon? I don't get the wars over it.
Speaking of Gundam, I finally saw Gundam Unicorn episode 3 since it came it this month! I think I'll be having to do a mini-pic spam dedicated to Gundam Unicorn, because I found some really pretty fanart of it! While it's not as popular as Gundam Wing because it's an OVA being published online in the US, I think it should be. And let me tell you the graphics. SUPERB. I absolutely love it.
Germany has its next friendly this month, and it'll be during break so I'll be able to watch it all at home! There's probably going to more about it when it comes up next week.
Other than that, I didn't really do anything today. I just realized how un-supportive I am. I can't even donate to Red Cross to help Japan, unless someone is taking physical money donations. Campus is probably holding a place to give donations, though, so I can check it out Monday.
