I haven't posted at all yet this month, sorry! It's just that classes were hectic this week.
I am extremely happy today was Friday and classes were done with. I had somewhat interesting trip getting home- the two buses I've depended on to catch my last bus on time have had reschedules because of some construction work and this has made both buses only coming very late. I didn't find this out until a day after when my sister told me since there posters about it posted on campus but none at the actual bus stops, which pisses me off. The public transit here is horrible, but I have to deal with it every day.
I get to the bus stop in good time to catch my bus when it was on its regular schedule at a nice 2:48 to reach downtown before my last bus at 3:10. But now both that and even the other bus that I first used this way are there at 2:55 or later. Today, the #7 was the first one to arrive and I was getting nervous so I just took it. The driver was going slow. And I mean slow. It was ridiculous. There was four other people on the bus and she was going 15 mph and stopping at each empty stop.
So I asked her when we would be reaching downtown, and she says 3:11. And I immediately think 'fuck'.
So she asks, "Do you catch another bus? When?" And I tell her 3:10, and she just gives me this sympathetic look, saying, "Ouch, that's cutting it close."
YOU THINK.
I understand it's wrong to think a bus driver should bend to a passenger's will on how fast the bus is going on its route, but it's absolutely grating when you get the bus drivers that drive under the speed limit. It seems all other buses will speed through a yellow light except the one you're on. It's pretty much impossible to get there earlier for a bus before because of classes, and the transit makes it so I can never get home in less than two hours. This whole thing pisses me off and I wish I had a car or lived closer to campus because I've always wanted a motor scooter.
I really want a motor scooter.
Yay motor scooter talk!
I've had quite a lot of work, so all I've been doing is Tumblr for my weekly batch of new Mannshaft pictures that I organize in my big folder as well as freaking out over Homestuck. I seem to come read a series regularly at the time it's having a flashback arc of a previous generation of characters. It happened with Bleach and it's happening with Homestuck and I need moar about Mindfang because I love her.
I really have no energy to even mention worldly news. We all know.
I think the manga that I need to come out every day is Kuragehime. I really really love the manga and still so happy that it has an active scanlator releasing twice a week! Now I've gotten past what the anime has covered and it's all new stuff and surprise and I really enjoy it! I think a great point of the series is when they make the old men into girls with sailor uniforms and wigs~
Oh! I also have heard about this new series called Tiger & Bunny and I've been meaning to check it out. I might as well do that this weekend because I'm stuck home.
Gundam Victory is currently on hold because even at the start the characters weren't likable. They're practically the same as the kids in Gundam F91 but... I liked Seabook and Dwight so much better. Plus the format they had the first few episodes in really turned me off because I was so confused.
Also, I just remembered,
EUROVISION NEXT WEEK WITH ERIC SAADE REPRESENTING SWEDEN AND LENA REPRESENTING GERMANY AGAIN.
I don't like Lena's song this year though, so it's all riding on Eric Saade with his new song! Of course I haven't seen every entry yet because the ones I have seen were so bad I lost interest in hopes of new music to listen to.
Also, I was on a short Alexander Rybak high this week. He did this song for some Norwegian tour bus... I don't even know what it is. It has 24 girls all in it and they have dance parties in it. A party bus? I don't know, but Alexander made a song for it and it's oddly catchy but then when you read the lyrics it's like oh my.
I also found out Alexander Rybak hasn't only been busy with music. Apparently he was on Sweden's version of Dancing With the Stars this year. Yeah, I watched some videos of him dancing and stuff. He is so cute at times and then suddenly he's melding into his dance partner like they're gonna become one. But I guess he's a bad dancer. I mean, I wouldn't know. I cannot dance, have no ability to judge dancing so I can never understand.
And to end tonight's ramblings, I have this video my friends shared with me and it's been stuck in my head. I don't really care for Plushenko ever since the Winter Olympics and even after watching this video for the 30th time I still cringe at the close ups of him. But I keep watching. It's mesmerizing.
