WHY OH WHY????!!

So last night, my laptop screen started to flicker, and it was real odd because it never did that before.
Then this morning, I turned it on and it started flickering again, then suddenly the screen went dark, but not black- my computer was still on and I could still see my desktop by the bright light was going over the screen.
I was already paranoid last night, and took precautions because I knew my laptop was old and it would probably die sooner or later (especially how I've been using it) and did my best to save all my important stuff like stories, downloads of anime and scans, and everything from onenote. Unfortunately, I never finished downloading all of the anime I had, and I think some of the manga scans.
I had to spend hours today on my sister's computer (the thing I had before getting a laptop) in the uncomfortable chair and computer room cleaning up my account because I never had anything organized until using my laptop and saving so much crap on it, and tried to save what I salvaged from my laptop before it blacked out.
I screwed over when I realized all of my fanfics saved were all Docx, since I have Windows Office 2007 and this computer has '03 so I can't view them, and it's the same for all of my onenote pages.
I also messed up when sending my music and pictures to the computer, and instead of one file music, one file pictures, I got two files of music.
So I'm pretty pissed and worried as hell about my laptop- I knew I was very, very dependent on it and never got around to getting a back-up ready. It's all my fault.
Then the next worst thing is when it does die- I'll lose everything on there that I hadn't saved, there goes Office '07, and I won't have a laptop anymore.
My dad has never approved of me using the computer, and he sure as hell won't help get me a new one, and who knows when and how my mom gets me another one....
I'm going into an emo state and won't come out until I have my laptop again and it's working properly without the flickering. Dear god I hope my mom can get it fixed at work...
