Ohayocon EXPLOSION

tamabonotchiAlright, so I just finished the 4 Gundam movies, gonna report out on Ohayocon!
Starting off, Friday evening:
-Wanted to just be a volunteer and get a t-shirt. They didn't need anymore. I didn't help at all. Maybe next year.
-Met up with some people and hung out most of the time. I never really just sit in the crowded areas at cons because normally I'm alone, but it was pretty fun!
-Went to one panel.
-FOOD, FOOD EVERYWHERE.
-Get back to hotel very late, go to bed.
Going on to Saturday:
-Pretty much wasted the morning to dress in kimono.
-Finally go to con and go around the dealer's room and artist alley for the first time.
-HOLY COW GUNDAM. Spotted Nobell Gundam AND Zeta Gundam.
-Buy the cutest ring in the AA from what was my favorite artist there.
-Meet up with friends, they want to go to the dealer's room so I go through it again.
-Buy a Rilakkuma pencil case and a poster of Plusle and Minun. Weird, cause Ohayocon banned fanart in the AA this year.
-Friends wanted to see Greg Ayres, so we go to his panel.
-Pretty funny panel and guy, despite not having watched any dubs with him. Had to LOL at his obvious thoughts on Vic Mignogna. Also found out he's buddies with Johnny Bosch, cool!
-Stayed in the room for the next panel with Monica Rial. Again, only heard her in one anime before, but she was also very funny and cool.
-Right after we go to the Hetalia Ask a Nation panel. I got out of kimono and was in jeans and my Germany Mueller jersey, at least one person commented on it. xD
-AUUGH I CAN'T STAND THE LITTLE KIDS AT THIS PANEL BUT I LOVE THE AMERICA AND RUSSIA.
-Have to leave the panel early for dinner.
-SUSHI, SUSHI EVERYWHERE.
-Go to the grocery store(?)
-Get back to the con at midnight, furries and awesome cardboard robot fights came out and was tired as hell, so I went to bed.
And finally, Sunday:
-Dress in my lolita skirt cause screw it.
-Barely any panels, but I got into the mecha panel. Awwwwyeah.
-Go through the dealer's room cause I wanted to buy stuff.
-First off, bought the ZZ Gundam model. HNNNGGHGH MY BABY.
-Wanted more gundam. ;^;
-Bought a necklace
-ANOTHER necklace of this dragon-horse-thing from same artist I got the ring.
-Got this cute little wallet from AA as well.
-Met up with people again, hung out.
-Watched these people make a game of Duck Duck Goose. Ohhhh the pictures I got.
-Hang around as convention is closing, catch the end of the last Gaia panel.
-Won two items at the Gaia panel!
-Had to stay for a little longer, sat through the closing ceremonies.
-Exhaustion
So that was basically what I did! I could've done more, but it was still fun. I'm just sad I didn't buy more at the con, I probably could have bought a Gundam Unicorn model set or find a decent poster! Honestly, there wasn't much I wanted from what I saw selling, or it was overpriced.
Did anyone else go and see nice cosplayers? I saw just a couple of actually good cosplay. I got like, 5 pictures of people, but there were definitely more out there. It was quite obvious the difference of good Hetalia and bad Hetalia cosplay. Again, the Russia and America from the panel were awesome.
Maybe a resolution I should make for the next con I go to(if it's Ohayocon '12 next year), I should actually stick with plans of seeing panels and awesome people. I want to kick myself for missing Chris Sabat. Aw well.
So, I'm just going end it there. Can't wait for a free weekend to make my ZZ Gundam. It would have been AMAZING if I had $60 to buy that larger Zeta Gundam. Which reminds me, I have to find Gundam Zeta somewhere online not in the horrid dub...
